About Step Ahead

The journey of the Mum To Be Range started six years ago after speaking with my mum friends, there was a need for a pregnancy and post pregnancy range that was suitable for all women and met our needs. As a medical doctor for more than 15 years in the NHS, I understand that during pregnancy your body goes through many stages of change physically and mentally. From personal experience I know how morning sickness (hyperemesis) affects your body, as such we required different products during and after pregnancy to help deal with these symptoms. During the pregnancy of my first daughter a few years ago, I couldn’t find many products on the market that were naturally scented as well as hydrating. So I got together with the StepAhead team to create a range that was perfect to use during my second pregnancy!!

With many years of research and development with the other members of the StepAhead Team (we are a team of doctors, dentists and pharmacists which definitely helped!!) Alongside using our experiences as expectant mums, new mums and mums of toddlers we were able to develop a unique range of products. As well as our products being dermatologically tested and having gone through other vigorous testing to make sure they are safe to use in pregnancy, we have also tested them on ourselves during our pregnancies to ensure they are the best out there on the market.

All our formulas include natural ingredients that are pregnancy safe. Also allowing them to be naturally scented and not over whelming which is ideal if you are suffering with morning sickness. The natural scents of Rosehip oil, Lavender and Coconut oil will gently soothe and transport you to a place of relaxation and serenity.

Our unique formulas are highly effective to soothe stretch marks and support your skin through your pregnancy and beyond. Key ingredients not only soothe but nourish and hydrate your skin while keeping it supple. Our highly innovative nipple cream and nipple balm works wonders on those painful cracks. A range of our products are vegan friendly, cruelty free, dermatologically tested, hydrating and suitable for sensitive skin.

As a company STEPAHEAD firmly believe in protecting the environment, no animal testing, sourcing biodegradable material, recyclable packaging. Furthermore, we only work with suppliers that share our ethos.

We are a family company established in 1969 and our company is based on three strong ethics: trust, respect and loyalty. As a family company we portray these ethics in the products we design and develop and to our customers.
